One for Life, a bottle that is made to last

Using business as a force for good to protect the ocean and support environmental action

By Plastiki Team

We’re excited to see the launch of One for Life, a project from Plastiki Founder David de Rothschild and Professional Surfer and Patagonia Ambassador Daniel Ross.

Both advocates for the ocean, they’re combating single-use plastic pollution by reducing it at the source, hoping you’ll replace that disposable bottle with a well-designed product you’ll want to keep for the long-term.

Their first creation is a line of unique glass bottles with curves that hark back to the shape of classic milk bottles that used to be delivered to your doorstep. The sleek and durable cap is made of Yulex, a renewable, non-petroleum based material that’s derived from hevea trees, which are grown on Forest Stewardship Council certified plantations. It takes plastic completely out of the equation.

“ONE FOR LIFE IS A GROUP OF ADVENTURERS, SURFERS, AND ACTIVISTS WHO SHARE A LOVE FOR WILD SPACES AND A PASSION TO PROTECT THEM.”

Behind the company, there is an activist mindset and a drive to make the business a force for good. The founders started One for Life from a desire to protect their playground and support grassroots initiatives. Product sales are the engine for funding the protection of our oceans, putting stakeholders on par with shareholders.
